Global Travel Meetings & Events Innovation and Technology Leader

Ian joined EY in July 2017 and has been tasked to lead the innovation and technology team globally, focussing on enhancing the program by concentrating on the three key pillars to the strategy; Cost Avoidance, Compliance and Employee engagement.

Responsible for leading the global EY innovation and technology initiatives, enabling our travellers with the latest technology from start-up disruptors, established technology products, Mobile Apps’s or the deployment of various EY internal built robotic processes.

Ian has implemented a number of streamlining processes in collaboration with EY IT to enhance speed to market of both internal and external products.

Previously Ian has had leadership roles at British Airways in both the UK and USA developing and executing sales strategies within the corporate vertical in the UK; and multi-channel within the USA. Ian also spent time at Eurostar restructuring the International Sales and Distributor team, realigning the approach to better fit the market requirements. Ian also has a GDS technology background with Amadeus within the leisure market in the UK&I.

Prior to joining the travel industry over 6 years ago, Ian spent time within the technology and retail markets with, Nokia and Sky TV across sales, marketing and product development.
